Have fun, make friends, play football!
The Wilcat’s vision is to inspire girls aged between 5-11 to be involved in football.
The FA and SSE have launched an initiative to inspire girls aged between 5-11 to be involved in football. SSE Wildcats Girls’ Football Centres provide regular opportunities to play football and take part in organised sessions in a fun and engaging environment. Over 1,400 centres have now been established nationwide, and we’re one of them!
The sessions take place after school at two of Activ8’s locations. They provide a safe environment for girls to have fun engaging with football, make new friends, develop skills, try a variety of sessions and create foundations for a lifelong love of sport. Alongside the football there will be opportunities for parents, carers and siblings to engage with sport at the same time through ‘Family Sessions’ – you might get to try out Soccercise or Walking football!
Our SSE Wildcats Girls’ Football Centre is run in conjunction with local County FAs utilising qualified coaches and local facilities to offer girls a location nearby where they can get involved. SSE Wildcats has been established in partnership with SSE, supporters of girls’ football participation and sponsor of the SSE Women’s FA Cup, with support from UEFA, FIFA and The Youth Sport Trust.
